YC9470 Professional WiFi 7-in-1 Weather Station

The Youshiko YC9470 is a professional WiFi weather station with a 7" colour LCD display and a wireless 7-in-1 outdoor sensor (YC1137). Monitor wind speed, wind direction, rainfall, outdoor temperature, humidity, UV index and light intensity, alongside indoor temperature, indoor humidity and barometric pressure readings.

WiFi connectivity lets you publish your local weather data to Weather Underground and Weathercloud for viewing from an internet-connected phone, tablet or computer. The console also provides internet time synchronisation, moon phase, weather forecast icons, calculated weather indices, historical records and customisable alerts.

Why Choose the YC9470

The YC9470 combines a full set of local weather readings with online data sharing. Its 7-in-1 sensor adds UV index and light intensity to wind, rain, temperature and humidity monitoring, giving gardeners and weather enthusiasts more information about conditions at their own location.

Check readings on the colour console at home, or view uploaded data through Weather Underground and Weathercloud while you are away. Optional YC80 sensors let you extend temperature and humidity monitoring to additional rooms or other suitable locations.

7-in-1 Outdoor Weather Monitoring

The YC1137 outdoor unit combines wind speed cups, a wind direction vane, rain gauge, temperature and humidity sensor, and UV and light sensors. It sends measurements directly to the console using 868 MHz RF transmission.

The outdoor sensor requires 3 × AA batteries, which are not included. Follow the user manual's installation and positioning guidance to obtain representative readings. The stated wireless range is up to 150 metres in open terrain; buildings and other obstructions can affect reception.

WiFi Upload and Remote Viewing

Connect the console to your WiFi network and configure your chosen weather platform through the setup interface. The console can publish local data to Weather Underground and Weathercloud, allowing uploaded readings to be viewed from internet-connected devices.

The outdoor sensor-to-console connection uses RF transmission, not WiFi. WiFi provides the console's connection for online upload and internet time synchronisation.

UV Index, Light Intensity and Sunburn-Time Indication

View UV index readings from 0–16 and light intensity in Klux, Kfc or W/m². The console also provides a sunburn-time indication in minutes, adding context to outdoor conditions.

Sunburn-time indications are estimates, not a guarantee of safe exposure. Use appropriate sun protection rather than relying on the display alone.

Wind, Rainfall and Weather Trends

Choose gust or average wind speed and view wind direction in degrees or 16 compass directions. Beaufort scale and wind-level information help you interpret changing conditions.

Rain rate and hourly, daily, weekly, monthly and total rainfall records let you follow both current rain and accumulated precipitation. Relative or absolute pressure readings and forecast icons provide further context alongside calculated feels-like temperature, heat index, wind chill and dew point.

Weather Alerts and Historical Records

Set high/low indoor and outdoor temperature and humidity limits, together with alerts for weather index, high wind speed, high daily rainfall and pressure drop. Flashing LCD indicators highlight configured alert conditions.

Maximum and minimum records and hourly history for the previous 24 hours let you review recent changes. The console also includes a buzzer alarm clock with ice pre-alert functionality.

Display, Time and Optional Expansion

Adjust the LCD contrast to suit your viewing angle and select Hi, Lo or Off brightness. The console displays time, calendar, weekday and moon phase, with Northern or Southern hemisphere settings.

Internet UTC time synchronisation and DST Auto/Off settings support clock setup. Up to seven optional YC80 sensors can be added for extra temperature and humidity monitoring; these are sold separately.
