The Youshiko YC9453 extra-large wireless weather station combines a 20.5 × 13 cm console with three wireless temperature and humidity sensors included. Its multi-colour display shows the main unit's indoor readings alongside three separate remote sensor channels, with barometric pressure, weather forecast information and an MSF radio-controlled clock for the UK and Ireland.
Compare conditions in your garden, greenhouse and garage, or monitor one outdoor location and two rooms inside your home. With three sensors supplied from the outset, you can build your monitoring setup without purchasing additional sensors.
Key Features
- Extra-large console: 20.5 × 13 cm main unit for a larger view of your weather and time information.
- Three sensors included: temperature and humidity monitoring for three separate indoor or outdoor locations.

- Dual alarm and snooze: a five-minute alarm interruption.
- Daily maximum/minimum records: temperature and humidity records reset automatically at midnight.
- Wireless range: up to 60 metres, subject to placement and obstructions.

A Larger Console for Multi-Location Monitoring
The YC9453 brings the three-sensor setup of the YC9443 range to an extra-large console. Its 20.5 × 13 cm dimensions distinguish it from the smaller 15.8 × 11.2 cm console described for the YC9443.
Separate indoor and remote sensor sections let you compare several locations at a glance. The green, orange and blue remote channel sections help you identify each sensor's readings, while the indoor section displays conditions where the main unit is placed.
Three Sensors, Three Locations of Your Choice
Use the supplied sensors in different indoor or outdoor locations to compare temperature and humidity. For example, you could monitor a sheltered garden position, a greenhouse and a garage, or place sensors in rooms that tend to feel warmer or cooler than the rest of the house.
The main display is kept indoors. The stated sensor transmission range is up to 60 metres; walls, metal objects, interference and other obstructions can reduce reception. Follow the manual's placement guidance and test reception before fixing sensors in position.
Weather Trends and Daily Highs and Lows
The station combines temperature and humidity readings with barometric pressure and weather forecast icons. This gives you more context than a temperature-only display, while comfort indication helps you keep track of indoor conditions.
The maximum and minimum records show measured temperature and humidity changes since the daily midnight reset. They are historical readings, not predictions of future maximum or minimum temperatures. Forecast icons indicate expected trends rather than guaranteeing future weather.
MSF Radio Controlled Clock for the UK and Ireland
This official UK version receives the MSF time signal. Successful reception allows the clock to check and adjust the time automatically, including the change between Greenwich Mean Time and British Summer Time.
During clock reception, the display may switch off for approximately seven minutes to reduce interference. Press SNOOZE to illuminate the screen while reception continues, press Up to stop reception, or hold Up for two to three seconds to start reception manually. Refer to the YC9453 manual for complete operating instructions.
Four Brightness Modes and Everyday Power
Four backlight modes let you adjust the display for different lighting conditions in your home or office. Place the console on a table, desk or shelf, with the readings in a convenient position to check during the day.
The included UK power supply provides mains operation. The main unit also takes two AA batteries, and each sensor requires two AA batteries. Battery operation of the console and all three sensors requires eight AA batteries in total; batteries are not included.
Getting Started
- Set the three sensors to separate channels: 1, 2 and 3.
- Insert batteries into the sensors, then power up the main station.
- Allow time for the console to receive sensor readings and attempt MSF clock reception.
- Check reception at your chosen sensor locations before securing the sensors in place.
- Choose your preferred temperature units, time format, brightness and alarm settings using the manual.
For outdoor use, follow the manual's siting and protection guidance. Sensor placement affects both wireless reception and the readings you see.
Who Is the YC9453 Suitable For?
The YC9453 is a practical choice if you want a larger colour console and three sensors in one package. It suits homes or offices where comparing conditions across several rooms or sheltered outdoor locations is more useful than monitoring a single position.
