Radio Controlled Timekeeping

This UK radio controlled digital clock is constantly receiving the MSF atomic clock timing signal, so it always shows the correct time. It changes automatically for spring and autumn and checks the time automatically, with an accuracy of 1 second in 10 million years.

MSF is transmitted on 60 kHz from Cumbria and carries a date and time code that radio controlled products use to set themselves. The signal is controlled by atomic clocks and kept in step with the national time maintained by the National Physical Laboratory (NPL).

Digital Display & Functions

The LCD shows hours, minutes and seconds in a 12/24 hour format, with the date, month and weekday. As a digital clock with date and temperature, it also shows the indoor temperature in Centigrade or Fahrenheit and the moon phase. The alarm has a snooze function, and the clock can be hung on a wall or used as a desk clock.
