UUV-1 Chief's Challenge Coin – Washington Landmarks, No. 044

Washington landmarks meet undersea imagery on this Unmanned Underwater Vehicle Squadron 1 (UUV-1) Chief's Challenge Coin. Numbered 044, this approximately 3-inch hexagonal coin features a CPO Mess design with a Seattle skyline, a snow-covered mountain, and an orca above an underwater vehicle.

Washington-inspired reverse

Three U.S. Navy anchor insignia sit beneath “CPO Mess.” The scene below includes the Space Needle, a waterfront Ferris wheel, and a figure holding the Space Needle. An orca breaks through the waves, while the underwater section carries “Own the Deep! Own the Sea!” and serial number 044.

UUV-1 squadron front

The front features a sea creature curling around a red diamond with the number 1. “UUVRON 1” and the squadron's “Own the Deep! Own the Sea!” inscription complete the design.
