UUV-1 Chief's Challenge Coin – Extend the Reach, 2-Inch Round

An octopus in a chief's cap takes center stage on this UUV-1 Chief's Challenge Coin. The round, 2-inch “Extend the Reach” design pairs Chief Petty Officer insignia with the emblem of Unmanned Underwater Vehicle Squadron 1, offering a different look from the squadron's hexagonal coins.

Extend the Reach artwork

The reverse shows a white octopus over a dark globe, wearing a chief's cap and holding a yellow underwater vehicle. Three U.S. Navy anchor insignia sit above it, while “Extend the Reach” curves around the lower edge. A rope-style border frames the scene.

Squadron emblem

The front carries a red shield with wave motifs and a large number 1 bearing the letters “UUVRON.” A trident rises above the shield, with a blue ribbon below, against a gold-colored textured background.
