ITS / ETR / RM Radio Room Door Challenge Coin

The ITS / ETR / RM Radio Room Door Challenge Coin celebrates submarine communications specialists with a hinged door that opens to reveal detailed electronic-equipment artwork. Made of zinc with a high-gloss enamel finish, this rectangular SubMerch collectible combines rating symbols, Silent Service imagery and radio-room humor.

Open the radio-room door

The front recreates a radio-room door with a lock, handle, simulated doorbell and communications rating symbols, framed by a rope-pattern border. Hinges allow the door to open, and a magnet holds it closed. Inside, a dense arrangement of equipment panels, cables and playful gremlin-style details brings the radio-room theme to life.

The inside of the door reads “I hear you ringing, but you can't come in.” This wording matches the photographed coin and gives the design its distinctive crew-humor touch.

RM, ETR and ITS tribute

The reverse carries “Information Technicians,” “RM | ETR | ITS” and “Silent Service,” with dolphin imagery flanking a central Navy eagle-and-anchor emblem. “Mintonator,” the creator's boat nickname noted in the original listing, appears beneath the Silent Service inscription.
