Meteor Engraved Damascus Steel Pocket Knife with Exotic Red Sandal Wood Handle

Meteor Handmade Personalized Damascus Steel Pocket Knife - 8.0" Overall - 3.75" Drop Point Folding Blade, Exotic Red Sandalwood Handle, Ball Bearing Mechanism, Hand Stitched Leather Sheath, Pro Knife Sharpening & Free Engraving

Damascus Steel and Blade Detail

The blade is carefully hand forged using 15N20 & 1095 steel through a process of layering, welding, hammering, and shaping. This traditional forging process creates a distinctive Damascus pattern across every blade, giving each knife its own unique appearance similar to a fingerprint. Each Meteor pocket knife is individually handcrafted and visually distinctive.

Damascus steel has outstanding properties of strength and hardness. We enhance these properties through double oil quenching at approximately 2100°F to rapidly cool the steel and develop hardness throughout the blade. The finished blade achieves approximately HRC 62+ on the Rockwell Scale for dependable cutting performance and edge retention.

The contrasting steel layers are finished using ferric chloride, which reacts differently with the metals and reveals the distinctive Damascus pattern across the blade.

Scales & Handle

The handle is handcrafted using highly figured exotic red sandalwood, selected for its distinctive natural grain, rich color, and comfortable feel. The wood is carefully finished and treated to help resist moisture, drying, and everyday wear. The handle complements the folding blade while providing a refined appearance and secure grip.
