Coconut Koloocheh — Persian Filled Cookies, 4-Pack (7 oz)

Koloocheh (also spelled kolocheh, kolosh or koloshi) is the filled cookie of Lahijan, a tea town on Iran's Caspian coast. This is the coconut one — the sweetest of the three, and usually the one children reach for first.

Four cookies to a box, each one soft cardamom-scented dough sealed around a sweet coconut filling and stamped with the traditional pattern before baking. Chewier and more tropical than the nut fillings, and a little lighter — 170 calories a cookie against 185 for the walnut and pistachio.

Baked in the United States by Honey Bird Sweets in Colorado.
