🌟 Product Overview

Purple Haze is a stunning Imperator-type hybrid carrot featuring an eye-catching violet exterior and a vibrant orange core. It combines the visual intrigue of a coloured carrot with the sweetness and uniformity of classic orange types, making it a favourite among chefs, juicers, and fresh produce markets.

This variety is bred for high flavour, excellent crunch, and reliable performance across varied growing conditions. It thrives in loose, well-drained soil and delivers both beauty and nutrition in one sleek, tapered root.

🚫 Why We Don’t Sell Carrot Seedlings

We do not offer carrot seedlings for this variety or any others. Here's why:

Reason Explanation Taproot disruption Carrots form a deep taproot easily damaged by transplanting, leading to deformities Poor transplant success Transplant shock often results in poor growth and yield Best results from seed Direct sowing ensures healthy, straight roots and optimised germination Cost-effective and natural Seed sowing is easier, cheaper, and aligns with how carrots grow in nature

🌱 For optimal growth, always sow carrot seeds directly into the ground.

🌱 Sowing & Growing Guide

Sowing Method Depth Row Spacing Thin To Harvest Time Direct sow only 5–6mm 30cm 10cm apart 12–16 weeks (climate dependent)

✔️ Do not transplant – sow directly where they will grow.
💧 Maintain even soil moisture, especially during early growth.

🌞 Ideal Growing Conditions

Light Soil Type Watering Needs Full sun Loose, sandy, fertile soils Consistent, not soggy

📝 Avoid compact or cloddy soils, which lead to twisted roots. Carrots prefer minimal disturbance and minimal feeding.
