Oyster Mushroom Tincture - 50ml Dual Extract

A 50ml Oyster mushroom tincture made from UK-grown Pleurotus ostreatus fruiting bodies and prepared in small batches in Dorset. We combine hot-water extraction with ultrasound and a separate plant-derived ethanol extract.

All our mushrooms, apart from Chaga, are grown locally by Jurassic Coast Mushrooms, based in Dorchester.

The Oyster mushroom (Pleurotus ostreatus) grows in overlapping, fan-shaped shelves on fallen beech and other hardwoods, including in British woodland, and its soft grey-brown caps give it its name. It is one of the world's most widely cultivated culinary mushrooms, with an interesting nutritional profile. It naturally contains ergothioneine, an unusual amino acid you can read about in the Spore & Bloom Library.

We extract the fruiting bodies in hot water, using ultrasonic extraction, and in plant-derived ethanol, then combine the two extracts into a single tincture. Nothing else goes in: no fillers, no grain-grown mycelium, no preservatives.
