Pottery Candle Holder – Hand-Formed

In the hills of Sejnane, pottery is shaped by hand as it has been for generations—without tools, guided by memory and repetition.

This candle holder follows that same process.

Formed from locally sourced clay, it is built through a coiling technique, then fired in open flames. The surface reveals subtle variations—marks left by fire, by touch, by time.

No two pieces are identical.

Its role is simple: to hold light.

But in doing so, it changes how light exists in a space—lifting it slightly, grounding it, giving it a place.

Placed on a table, a shelf, or beside a bedside, it becomes part of a quiet composition—supporting the candle without drawing attention away from it.

Made in small batches by women artisans, it reflects a living practice rooted in place and passed from one generation to the next.
