Axman Beard Balm

Axman is a balm for a beard that has to survive weather, sawdust and a long day. Cedar and leather, a firm-ish hold, and no sweetness anywhere in it.

The Scent

Cedar is the top note and leather sits under it. The finish is dry and woody, close to the beard rather than filling a room. It suits cool weather and a beard that gets shaped in the morning and then left alone.

What It Does

Beeswax holds the shape you comb in. Jojoba and argan oil condition the hair, while shea and cocoa butter soften the ends and add a little weight. It is made for medium and long beards that need control without a wet look.

How to Use It

1. Clean, dry beard. Oil first if you use it.
2. Scrape a thumbnail of balm and warm it in your palms.
3. Apply from the middle of the beard to the ends.
4. Comb through and set the shape with your hands.

Questions

Is the hold strong? It is a light to medium hold. Enough for flyaways and shape, not enough to sculpt a handlebar.

Can I use it without oil? Yes, but the oil does the work on the skin. The balm works on the outside. Axman Beard Oil is the matching one, and the Pair has both.
