Airman Beard Oil

Airman is an unscented beard oil for men whose skin reacts to scented grooming products. It has no fragrance, no added scent and no additives. Jojoba and argan oil carry it, and the only thing you should notice is a softer beard and calmer skin underneath.

Unscented and Fragrance-Free Are Not the Same Thing

The American Academy of Dermatology draws a line between the two, and it matters if your skin is sensitive. A product labeled unscented can still contain a fragrance that has been covered up. You cannot smell it, but it is still on your skin. A product labeled fragrance-free should not contain fragrance at all.

What It Does

What Is in It

How to Use It

1. Wash your face and pat it dry. Damp skin takes the oil better than dry skin.
2. Put four or five drops in your palm. More for a long beard, less for a short one.
3. Rub your palms together, then work your fingers down to the skin under the beard, not just over the hair.
4. Comb through to spread it evenly. Use it once a day, or twice if your skin is very dry.

What It Will Not Do

It will not make your beard grow faster. No topical product changes how fast a follicle produces hair. It will not replace washing, and it will not cure a skin condition. What it will do is put moisture back into the skin under the beard without adding a scent your skin has to deal with.

Questions

Does it smell like anything? No fragrance is added. Jojoba and argan have a faint natural smell of their own that fades within minutes.

Can I wear cologne with it? Yes. There is no added scent to compete with it.

Should I use oil or balm? Oil if your skin is dry, itchy or flaky. Balm if you want hold and shape. If you want both, use the oil first and the Airman Beard Balm on top. The Pair costs less than buying them separately.

Is it right for sensitive skin? It is made without fragrance or additives, which removes one of the most common triggers in grooming products. If your skin is very reactive, patch test on the inside of your arm for a few days first.
